Part 1After reviewing the resources provided for this lesson I have come to a conclusion. That conclusion is that the key to digital citizenship is to educate. It seems that in order for our students to become good digital citizens we have to first educate them on how to make good decisions online. Students need to understand that the things that they do online will stick with them forever and can be viewed by essentially anyone. I personally have never taken the time to educate my students in digital citizenship, but I feel that some these resources are a great place to start. One specific idea that I found interesting was the idea of digital citizenship week. I honestly think that it would be very beneficial for all schools to incorporate this idea within their school. Although one week is not enough time to complete all digital citizenship education, it is a great place to start. Part 2I plan to model and promote digital citizenship within my classroom by incorporating digital citizenship week within my classroom, educating my students through digital citizenship lessons, and by utilizing ViewPure when showing videos during lessons.
